Who We Are

Thank you for enquiring about the Mississauga Camera Club!!!!!

Who and Where we are

The Club was established in 1954 and is an affiliate of the City of Mississauga. Currently there are over 135 members, primarily from Mississauga, however the Club does welcome new members from anywhere. Our current membership ranges in age from 20s to Seniors. The range of ability is from beginner to advanced.

In-person meetings, when scheduled, will be held at the Lucy Turnbull Auditorium facility located inside the Mississauga Seniors’ Centre at 1389 Cawthra Road and will start at 7:30 p.m.

What we do

We gather together to enjoy numerous presentations from professional photographers, amateur photographers as well as club members. We participate in club competitions four (4) times a year (optional) and view the results together.  At the end of the season at the Annual Awards meeting, we celebrate our members being recognized for their achievements in photography and volunteerism.

How we do it

Our club is run by a tremendous commitment from members as volunteers. Our Executive meets 10-12 times a year. We have dedicated teams for areas such as: Program Development, Membership Services (Special Interest Groups, Workshops, Outings, Social Events, Refreshments) Communication (emails, website, Facebook, Historian), Competition Team and more.

When we do it

Our regular Thursday meetings will continue to take place online via Zoom starting at 7:00 p.m. and we’ll be having some in-person meetings that will start at 7:30 p.m. Please check the club calendar link above for meeting updates.
