Workshop: Choosing Your Next Lens – Mike Robinson
Topic – Choosing Your Next Lens
Presenter: Mike Robinson
Date: November 20, 2021
“What lens should I buy next?” If you’ve ever asked this question, this workshop is for you. With so many lenses to choose from, with different focal lengths, apertures, and price points, the options can be overwhelming. We’ll start with the basics of lenses, what all the different numbers and letters in the name mean, and then discuss what lenses are best suited for photographing different types of subjects. We’ll also cover what differentiates expensive lenses from budget lenses, what you should care about, and what you shouldn’t. Whether you have a particular specialty in mind, or are just looking for the next lens to add to your bag, you’ll learn how to select a lens that’s right for your photography and your budget.
About your instructor: Mike Robinson has been snapping photos for decades, but dove into the world of DSLR photography in 2013 with a Canon Rebel T3. Seven camera bodies and dozens of lenses later, I’m even more passionate about photography, and happy to share what I’ve learned along the way.
Time: 9:00 am until noon
