Workshop: Understanding Exposure – Mike Robinson
Exposure is a foundational aspect of photography, and a solid understanding of exposure can make you a more knowledgeable and more confident photographer. This workshop explains the fundamentals of exposure, including the Exposure Triangle, in simple, easy-to-understand, non-technical language. We’ll discuss the effects of adjusting shutter speed, aperture, and ISO individually, as well as how they interact with each other. Whether you’re looking to move out of your camera’s Auto mode, take more control of your camera, or understand how to choose the best camera settings for different scenarios, you’ll gain the knowledge you need to have your camera capture the image you want.
While this isn’t primarily a hands-on session, there will be an interactive activity or 2, so you’ll want to have your camera on hand if you can.
About your instructor: Mike Robinson has been snapping photos for decades, but dove into the world of DSLR photography in 2013 with a Canon Rebel T3. Ten cameras, dozens of lenses, and over 50,000 photos later, I’m even more passionate about photography, and very much enjoy sharing what I’ve learned along the way.
Time: 9:00 am until noon
