Outing – Wildlife Photographer of the Year
An Exhibit at the ROM
Finally, a sunny day and a journey into Toronto to take in the latest Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibit. On March 4, 2026, we enjoyed an outing to see the most remarkable wildlife images by photographers from 7 years to 7+ decades old! Each image was accompanied by a maker profile and the details of the settings of the image. From aquatic life to backyard creatures to safaris and adventures in the wild, we were enthralled with each and every image. And inspired, though I am not sure any of us were inspired enough to spend months chasing the perfect image as a few of these photographers did. As Doug noted “Must admit I was almost overwhelmed with the photos. What skill and patience. Also, maybe a little jealous of the young photographer with her Z9 and 600mm lens!” Thanks to all the participants and to Liz McNally for leading the outing.
