President’s Choice Volunteer of the Year – Volunteering Excellence

A Note to Our Volunteers:
This challenging year has seen many of our Club volunteers willingly step forward to offer suggestions and solutions to ever-changing situations and emergence of new issues. Many have offered to assume new responsibilities and/or augment their already busy workload to ensure that the Club could continue to function in as near a normal condition as the current circumstances would permit. For this, the Club wishes to extend its deepest gratitude. The choice for Volunteer of the Year has been made within the context of this exceptional level of volunteerism.

Pradipta Datta

It is with great pleasure that we extend our congratulations to Pradipta Datta on having been selected this year’s “Volunteer of the Year”.

Pradipta has shown extraordinary dedication and time commitment to the Club. Simply put, competitions would not have been possible for 2019-2020 without his unwavering willingness to learn and then master Entry Wizard and its intricacies and processes. He has spent countless hours incorporating Judges’ comments into Power Point for each of the Virtual Results Shows.

This is in addition to the time spent in setting up for the Competitions, communicating with Judges and responding to any of their comments or concerns, compiling results for the competition team, creating the show and sharing same with the Statistics Team and the Web Team. Pradipta would be the first to acknowledge the importance of the support and assistance that he has received from both current and past Club members.

The Robbie Robinson Outstanding Performance Trophy – Excellence in Digital and Print Competition

Jon Clarke

It is also with great pleasure that we extend our congratulations to Jon Clarke as this year’s recipient of The Robbie Robinson Outstanding Performance Trophy.

This trophy is presented to the individual who has demonstrated excellence in Digital and Print Competition and Volunteerism. It is apparent from a review of Jon’s photographic work that he excels in both print and digital formats. This is reflected in this year’s final standings where Jon finished first in Print and 4th in Digital Competition. When combined with Jon’s contribution to the Club over the past 10 years as a member of the Print team, helping with set up and take down of equipment on Print Judging Night, working the scoring machines and keeping track of the scores, Jon’s selection for this award becomes readily apparent.
