The images in this sailing show were created by the waters of Lake Ontario over several years. Garry photographed at the waterfronts of Oakville, Mississauga, Etobicoke and Toronto. In the making of this show Garry was reminded of the many nice memories he has of photographing by the water during the warm summer months and he hopes these images will also give the viewer warm thoughts of summer memories as well
Surfing Safari by Linda Hilliard
We usually associate the surfing craze that started in the sixties with California or Hawaii, but surfing is also very popular on both coasts of Canada. In this AV show Linda shares with us images of surfers of various levels of expertise practicing the sport off Lawrencetown Beach in Nova Scotia and the beaches around Tofino on Vancouver Island. Some surfers are obviously more experienced than others and their expressions of concentration are often quite amusing. Many of them end up losing their battle with the waves to comical effect. The musical accompaniment should bring back memories to many of you.
