Outing – Butterfly Conservatory

Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory

An hour’s drive north and west of Mississauga is the site of the Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory which was the destination for another MCC outing. On Saturday, November 29, ten MCC members arrived at opening to spend a few hours watching the butterflies and the birds. The site was lush with vegetation and a great number of species to photograph. The capturing of images as the butterflies fluttered from flower to leaf to branch to another flower was a bit of a challenge, but everyone was successful in capturing some remarkable images. Most of the group enjoyed a bite to eat in the Chrysalis Café on site before heading back home. A very special thank you goes to Mike Robinson for leading this excellent outing.
