Outing – Mattamy National Cycling Centre

We started December with a wonderful outing to the Mattamy National Cycling Centre in Milton, on Tuesday, December 2, led by Joe DiLecce. Joe arranged for permission for MCC to attend a practice session of the Adult Elite Cyclists. 14 members of MCC spent about two hours inside the velodrome, practicing panning and challenging their ability to shoot cyclists in motion. Round and round the cyclists went as the photographers enjoyed the different angles. There was lots of time to review and change settings, sharing tips with each other to get that perfect stop action shot! Following the session, most of the participants squeezed into a local Tim Horton’s to enjoy lunch, coffee and fellowship. Thanks so much to Joe DiLecce for arranging this great outing.
