Past Outings – Rattray Marsh Conservation Area
Thanks to everyone who joined our outing on November 1, 2026 to the Rattray Marsh Conservation Area. Cathleen Macdonald, our local Rattray Marsh enthusiast, led our photographic journey on the beautiful fall morning. 15 enthusiastic photographers enjoyed the walk, the chats, the stories, the sharing of information and of course, the photography. We entered the conservation area from Greenglade Public School, followed a path downhill through the trees, watched for the woodpeckers and other birds, enjoyed the fall foliage. A coyote showed himself briefly and the squirrels and other animals watched us from a distance. The view of the marsh from the knoll was as always breathtaking. We traversed the boardwalk and walked along the shale beach along the shores of Lake Ontario. Following our walk most of the group enjoyed lunch at the Clarkson Pump. A special thank you to Cathleen Macdonald for sharing her knowledge of and love for the marsh.
